Hebrews 11 – He is not finished with you yet

Our culture is obsessed with Heroes, whether it is in the form of super hero movies, sports figures, or a pop star, hero worship and a desire to imitate those we put on pedestals is a part of human nature. But all too often we uphold the wrong people for the wrong reasons and we idolize our heroes. The result is that we do not grow in Christ likeness and we worship the created rather than the creator. Hebrews 11 is a powerful reminder that it is God who enables the great acts of faith by the heroes listed in Hebrews 11. When we recognize and see God as the one at work through the lives of his people throughout the ages, we are rightly encouraged to imitate them as they imitated God while not idolizing them as super humans, and give glory to God as the author and perfector of our faith.

Ministry Goals

It is my desire to serve in a local church
body where I can help train up men and
women into mature Christian leaders. I
have a heart and passion for discipleship and seeing believers grow in their
knowledge of Scripture and faithful
application of Biblical principles in day
to day living.

I desire to reach the hurting and those
struggling through the difficulties of
living in a fallen world. I love to see
individual church members grow in
being able to care for one another and
minister the word according to the
needs of the moment.

Nothing excites me more than seeing it
“click” when someone understands how
the Bible fits together and speaks into
their life.
